If you love to plan ahead, you’re probably already looking forward to your next camping trip. Here are a few RV tips for getting your RV ready for spring. Whether you’re planning a Spring Break trip to the beach or an unforgettable National Park adventure, these RV cleaning tips will help you get ready to hit the road.
Flush Your Plumbing System
After having your RV winterization done at Legacy RV Center, the firth thing you’ll need to do this spring to get your RV ready is flush the plumbing system. You can do this by scheduling your RV de-winterization with Legacy RV Center or hooking up your RV to a water system. You’ll need to run all the taps until the water runs clear to ensure no antifreeze is still in the lines.
Wash Linens
If you left your linens and bedding in the RV over the winter, they will probably need a refresh for the spring. You can machine wash any bedding, aside from mattresses, and use a spot cleaning method for the other furniture. Additionally, using scented room spray or fabric spray can help to remove any stall scents.
Wipe Down All Appliances
It’s a good idea to clean all your appliances before hitting the road again. Wipe down all the exteriors to give them a fresh, clean look, and then use an all-purpose cleaner to wash the inside of your refrigerator, freezer, and microwave. You can also use an oven cleaner to remove any spots in your oven and clean your stovetop with soap and water or a cooktop cleaner.
Clean the Roof and Awnings
Gently remove all debris from your roof with a broom or by hand. Clear any leaves, sticks, or other debris from the awning track to ensure it won’t be damaged when you open it. Then wash the roof with water and reseal if needed. If you do not know how to reseal your roof, contact Legacy RV Center’s service department today!

Inspect Tires
Before you can hit the road, you’ll need to ensure that your tires are in working order. Check all the tire pressures and inspect the trends to ensure none of the tires could cause a problem on the road.
